During the week, Kim is an Insurance Agent for a Large Insurance Broker in Brentwood, TN. Kim loves what she does for a living because of the “Peace” she brings her clients by securing their most prized personal possessions as well as there businesses. That is her goal for every client. Kim never meets a stranger and enjoys meeting new people and staying connected in her community. She stays involved whether it involves her children’s school, sports teams or her church. Having served in ministry for 25 years, Kim has had a passion for serving others and looking for the best in everyone she meets. A Wedding Planner, Event Coordinator are titles Kim has deemed as her side hustle for over 20 years. Her goal in each event is to “Create an Experience they would talk about forever.” She cannot deny what brings the biggest smile on her face would be her three sons, Grayson, Josh and Grant. Rising her sons as a single parent since her oldest was 10 was difficult at times, but made her stronger. Most of all, it keeps her busy and wanting to be better in whatever she is involved in.
Originally, Kim is from Kentucky, moved to Southern California, then finally called Nashville, Tennessee her home 30 years ago. They built a home in a brand new subdivision in Franklin, TN in 1998. The family was concerned about the neighborhood having enough young families with children since the oldest son, Grayson was only 2 years old. However, that quickly changed as the subdivision grew quickly and children where on every street corner. In 2003, Kim was loading her car to travel for a couple of days on business. Across the street a new family was moving in. All she knew was that they were from Kentucky. She heard a sweet voice from across the street say “ Hello” and looked up to see a bright eyed young girl waving hello. Kim walked across the street and said, “Well, Hello to you, what is your name?” The little girl said, “My name is Haley, Haley Sue Pearson!” Kim said, “Wow Haley? Well, Miss Haley you must be pretty special. Did you know there is a COMET named after you?” She said, “Yes m’am I sure do!” From that moment forward, Haley was special to Kim and her entire family. Kim would say that when Haley was around, everything was just sweeter.
Haley wrote a essay about The Stone Home in school. She talked about how she loved to come over to their house because they were always playing games and it smelled so good, like an Italian Restaurant because Miss Kim was always cooking with Rosemary. Watching Haley mature into an amazing young woman has been a joy to watch for Kim. Haley will forever be in her heart. Kim prays that her contribution to the foundation will help carry on Haley’s legacy. Her goal is that those that knew her, will be able to find peace and fulfillment by getting involved. And for the many that did not have the opportunity to meet Haley, they will walk away feeling like they did.
